It’s called the Education Freedom Scholarship Act – Governor Bill Lee proposing to take the voucher program statewide giving up to 20,000 students in K-12 the chance to get taxpayer money to attend a private or home school. Local educators believe it’s not the best option. UC Department of Justice defines domestic violence as a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain control over another intimate partner. Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women in the United States. Today we continue to explore one of the resources that’s here in our community to help women, and men for that matter, get out of difficult situations. It is the Upper Cumberland Family Justice Center. Its Director is Amy Stockwell.
