Today In The Upper Cumberland: Vouchers Pt 1

Upper Cumberland School Directors discuss the Education Freedom Scholarship Act.

It’s called the Education Freedom Scholarship Act – Governor Bill Lee proposing to take the voucher program statewide giving up to 20,000 students in K-12 the chance to get taxpayer money to attend a private or home school. Local educators believe it’s not the best option. Today the first of a two part series on vouchers, and the impact on public schools as we visit with White County Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger, Putnam County Director of Schools Corby King, and Grant Swallows, Director of the Warren County School System.
