As we prepare to head to the polls for another election, one of the issues at the forefront for many is healthcare. We continue our talk about affordable healthcare. There are however several groups of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers, who are trying to find a different way to make healthcare more affordable for those needing public assistance called Accountable Care Organizations or ACO’s. They work together voluntarily to give coordinated high-quality care to their Medicare patients. Dr. Brent Staton serves with the Cumberland Center for Healthcare Innovation in Cookeville.

It was an interest that began with a trip to the shelter. Co-Founder Jennifer Farley went from seeing a need to help rescue pets to offering a service that helps them find homes.
