Which Baby Names Are Googled Most in Each State?

Before anyone picks a baby name in this day and age, you have to vet it on the Internet, right?

Google just analyzed searches for baby names in the past year, and found the most common names new parents have been searching for.

The top three boy names nationwide are: Michael, James, and Avery. The top three girl names are: Elizabeth, Olivia, and Emma.

They also broke down the most popular names in each state. Most states have pretty traditional results . . . after all, when you have millions of people searching, it’s hard for something TOO obscure to break through. And yet . . . some states still found a way.

The most obscure boy names that managed to be the top search in a state are: Ahmed in South Dakota . . . Ezekiel in Kansas . . . Zyion in Arkansas . . . Nico in Massachusetts . . . and Aniyah in Hawaii.

The most obscure girl names that managed to be the top search in a state are: Matilda in Wyoming . . . Malachi in New Mexico . . . Aurora in Arizona . . . Holga in Vermont . . . Maeve in New Hampshire . . . and Risley in Maine.

McDonald’s is Bringing Back the Hamburglar as a Middle-Aged Hipster

Other than Ronald McDonald, there’s no McDonald’s character more famous than the Hamburglar. Well, maybe Grimace. Mayor McCheese? Please.

Hamburglar hipsterBut the Hamburglar’s been in exile for a while now . . . they haven’t used him in an ad since 2002.

Except yesterday they announced he’s making a comeback. And he looks . . . um . . . different.

The Hamburglar you remember was cartoonish . . . he had a giant round head, one tooth, and a goofy smile. The new Hamburglar? He’s a middle-aged hipster.

The guy playing the character in commercials isn’t wearing a big funny mascot head anymore . . . it’s just a regular dude with stubble. He’s still got the black mask over his eyes, a hat, and a striped shirt . . . but also has skinny jeans and red leather high tops.

Oh . . . and he’s a dad now.

He’s about to start appearing in commercials for a new McDonald’s product, the Sirloin Third Pound Burger.

The ‘Dad Bod’ Is A Thing

For those unfamiliar with its every fleshy curve, the dadbod is defined as ‘undefined muscles beneath a light layer of flab, usually topped off with a beer belly.’

It is achieved through little-to-no exercise, combined with regular dedicated beer and pizza binges. Celebrity poster boys include Seth Rogan, Vince Vaughan and, of course, Leonardo DiCaprio.

And now a new Instagram account has sprung up.

Which Jobs Are Most Likely To Drive You To Drink?

It’s Monday. If you’re already drunk, this story is for you.

The government just released data on which jobs have the highest percentage of people who drink heavily and get high.

The five jobs with the highest concentrations of heavy drinkers are: Mining . . . construction . . . hotels and restaurants . . . arts and entertainment . . . and utilities.

The five with the most drug users are: Hotels and restaurants . . . arts and entertainment . . . management . . . information . . . and construction.

One last thing: There’s no data on how many people were already big drinkers or drug users BEFORE they started their jobs, and how many started using because of their jobs.

So we don’t know if working at a hotel drives you to drink . . . or if drinking makes you want to work at a hotel.

Your Beard Might Be as Dirty as a Toilet

There’s a fine line between looking like a rad hipster and walking around with a toilet on your face.

A TV station in Albuquerque, New Mexico wanted to find out just how filthy things are in men’s beards. So they hired a lab to take swabs from different guys’ facial hair and test them out.

And they found that some of the beards were fine and safe . . . but some of them contained the same nasty fecal matter you’d find in a dirty toilet.

Now . . . just having those germs in your beard won’t make you sick. But let’s say you touch your beard, then eat without washing your hands . . . THAT could put you at risk. So be careful when you stroke your manly facial hair.
