Ten Worthless Things We Constantly Say That Don’t Mean Anything

10. “You know what I mean.” As in, “He ignored us, you know what I mean?”

9. “Apparently.” As in, “Apparently, they got a new manager.”

8. “Of course.” As in, “Of course he ignored us.”

7. “Amazing.” As in, “I had this amazing burger.”

6. “And stuff like that.” As in, “I had this amazing burger and stuff like that.”

5. “I know, right?” As in, “Which was amazing. I know, right?”

4. “Actually.” As in, “We actually went to Applebee’s.”

3. “I mean.” As in, “I mean the guy was about 18 years old.”

2. “You know.” As in, “I actually called him over, you know.”

1. “Like.” As in, “And like, he actually took it off the bill.”

Now let’s put them all in a sentence . . .

“Did we eat at home last night? Actually, we went to like, Applebee’s and I had this amazing burger and stuff like that and apparently they got a new manager, I mean the guy was like 18 years old and of course he ignored us, you know what I mean, so I actually called him over, you know, like to complain about Jason’s chili and stuff because it was cold and like, he actually took it off the bill, which was amazing, I know right?”
