Lets take a little test to see how much you know about the Constitution… It’s not hard… we are giving you the answers!
1. The first line of the Constitution is, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
B.S. That’s the second line of the Declaration of Independence.
2. The real first line of the Constitution starts with the words, “We the People”.
Yes: The first part is, “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union. . .”
3. The “Bill of Rights” and the first ten amendments are the same thing.
Yes: The Constitution was written in 1787. Then the Bill of Rights . . . a.k.a., the first ten amendments . . . were officially added in 1791.
4. The third amendment says the government can’t force you to let soldiers sleep at your house.
Yes: It’s one of the least controversial ones, because it never comes into play anymore.
5. The last amendment added to the Constitution gave women the right to vote in 1920.
B.S. That was the 19th amendment. There have been 27 total. The last one was ratified in 1992, and says that if Congress votes to raise their salaries, it can’t take effect until the next election is over.
