U.S. Army overturns convictions of Black soldiers convicted after 1917 Houston riots

The U.S. Army overturned the convictions of 110 Black soldiers stemming from the 1917 Houston riot, which broke out following months of abuse from the Houston Police Department. Following the riot and court martials, 19 of the soldiers were executed and dozens were sentenced to life in prison. Source
