Tropical depression forms in Gulf of Mexico, could threaten Florida

Thursday marked the first day of Atlantic hurricane season, and the National Hurricane Center forecasted that a tropical depression which formed in the Gulf of Mexico could potentially turn into a tropical storm by Thursday night or Friday. Source
