According to the National Council on Aging approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60 and over have experienced some form of elder abuse. Melody Miller and April Hibdon are the co-chairs for the Upper Cumberland Adult Abuse Coalition. They works with various agencies and groups to help report abuse when they can, and assist where needed.

Tennessee Citizens Action is a group that investigates allegations of improper conduct by state and local officials and work to hold them accountable when they don’t comply.
