Michelle Richter, Samantha Gesel from Vanderbilt University, and Alexis Boucher from The University of Tennessee discuss common misconceptions of Dyslexia, it’s implications, troubles, the future, and more.

The most common learning disability in children… about 1 in 10 people are dealing with Dyslexia. That’s more than 40 million U.S. adults, but only about 2 million know that they have it.

Martha Howard and Adrianne Pennington, executive director and director of the Bridges program, discuss the services available under the TEIS program in Tennessee, and how families can take advantage of the program themselves.

An early intervention, inside the Upper Cumberland’s Bridges program. The Bridges early intervention resource agency was established in 2016, and it’s there to help children with special needs in their earliest days. More importantly, the program provides a resource for families.

It’s history, it’s impact… a ride down the Cumberland River. Six hundred eighty-eight miles long, the Cumberland River begins in the Appalachian mountains and finishes near Paducah, Kentucky. All the while, the river has a large impact on the Upper Cumberland.
