Today In The Upper Cumberland: The Role Of The Cumberland River

Ashley Webster and Stone Fagan, U.S. Army Corps Engineers, discuss the impact that the Cumberland River has on the Upper Cumberland region. Recreation, economics, and energy are all contributing factors of the river that can be noticed all around the Upper Cumberland.

It’s history, it’s impact… a ride down the Cumberland River. Six hundred eighty-eight miles long, the Cumberland River begins in the Appalachian mountains and finishes near Paducah, Kentucky. All the while, the river has a large impact on the Upper Cumberland.
