Rep. John Lewis, civil rights icon and protege of MLK Jr., formally remembered

Congressman John Lewis, a leader of the Freedom Riders who would go on to be a prominent leader of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., died last week at age 80. A week-long celebration of Lewis begins in Alabama. Source
