Philips reaches $479 million settlement over CPAP machine recall

Philips Respironics has agreed to pay $479 million to compensate users who bought its CPAP machines. The machines were recalled in 2021 after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration received thousands of complaints that they caused health issues possibly linked to leaking foam. Source
