Eat a dang hamburger or I don’t want you coming to my Memorial Day barbecue.
In a new survey, 1 in 5 people said they’ve deliberately not invited a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free friend or family member to a party. Here are the four reasons why . . .
1. They were afraid they’d cause the person health problems.
2. They considered the person to be too much of an inconvenience.
3. They didn’t have the culinary knowledge to cook for the person.
4. They figured meeting that person’s diet needs would spoil the food for everyone else.
But here’s the twist . . . vegetarians might not WANT to go to your dinner parties anyway.
50% say they’ve avoided events because they felt like their diet would cause problems . . . and 25% have been to one where they went hungry because nothing met their needs.
