Harvey Weinstein’s rape conviction overturned by New York appeals court

A New York appeals court overturned Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 conviction on felony sex crimes. The court ruled that the disgraced movie mogul did not have a fair trial because the judge who presided over the case allowed women to testify about allegations that were not part of the charges against him. Weinstein will remain in prison because of his rape conviction in Los Angeles. Source
