George Papadopoulos pleads guilty to lying to FBI

When then-candidate Donald Trump showcased his foreign policy team in March 2016, he called George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign adviser, an “excellent guy.” Papadopoulos became the first person to plead guilty to charges stemming from the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
