Deep down, apparently we all wish we could live in a world where we didn’t have neighbors. At least that’s what I’m getting from this survey.

It asked people what bothers them when they’re sitting in their backyard, enjoying the summer . . . and it appears all 10 things are caused by their neighbors. No one picked “mosquitoes” or “humidity”.Instead, they picked these . . .

#1.) Noise from the neighbor’s TV or radio.

#2.) Late-night parties . . . specifically, quote, “adults acting like three-year-olds and groups of middle-aged women shrieking.”

#3.) Children.

#4.) Power tools.

#5.) Alarms going off.

#6.) Hot tubs.

#7.) Barbecue smoke.

#8.) Bright security lights.

#9.) The smell of fabric softener from clothes hanging outside.

#10.) Musical instruments.

Other complaints that didn’t make the top 10 include dogs barking, wind chimes . . . and chickens.
