Dailey Bailey: A Cop Is Mistaken For a Stripper at a 50th Birthday Party

Until Saturday, the following misunderstanding had happened approximately 75,000 times in movies and TV shows. And one time that I know of in real life.

A guy named Mike Ober is a cop in Wiltshire, England, and he was on patrol on Saturday. He spotted an open door at a club that’s usually closed on the weekend, so he went to check it out.

And when he walked in, it turned out the people there were celebrating a woman’s 50th birthday inside . . . and they thought he was their male stripper

Mike says, quote, “They went wild with excitement. The party was about to get started and they thought I was early.” So they told him to come back later, and he took off.

Mike’s in his mid 20s and he’s engaged, so he happily got out of there. And as he was leaving, he passed the real male stripper.

And the whole thing is even funnier, since he never told the people at the party he was a real cop.
