Today In The Upper Cumberland: Teen Suicide

B.E.D.S. Teen Outreach Center’s John St.Clair discusses teen suicide prevention.

In the last decade, the teen suicide rate in the United State has almost doubled. Depression, self harm, and suicide rates are on the rise – especially among girls. For one Upper Cumberland resident, that rate increase was a surprise, and it came at an unbelievable personal cost. John St.Clair lost his son to suicide, but he turned it into a positive by creating McMinnville’s B.E.D.S. Teen Outreach Center.

Today In The Upper Cumberland airs each weekend as a way to introduce you to interesting people and subjects of interest to our community. Catch the show each Saturday morning at 6 on Rock 93-7, 106-9 Kicks Country, and at 8 on Lite Rock 95.9.
