Dailey Bailey: A Three-Year-Old Fell Out a Window, and a Painting of “The Last Supper” Broke His Fall

A woman in Philadelphia named Dionna Praylow was getting ready to give her three-year-old son Reginald a bath last Wednesday.  And when she went to grab his pajamas, he fell out a window.

Apparently he leaned on it . . . the plexiglass popped out of the frame . . . and he fell two stories into their backyard.

last supperBut luckily a framed painting of “The Last Supper” was sitting on the ground right below the window, which broke his fall and saved his life.  Paramedics took him to the hospital, but all he had was a bruise on one arm.

His family says they’re not sure why they had the painting sitting in their backyard, but it belonged to Reginald’s grandmother.

There’s a photo of it online, and you can see some scratches on the front . . . but it doesn’t look like it ripped or anything.

And they’re going to hang it in their living room from now on.

Dailey Bailey: [Watch] Three Halloween Videos You Might Have Missed

A 25-foot-tall, 350-pound inflatable jack-o-lantern blew around a suburb near Phoenix on Thursday.  Luckily no one was hurt.

There’s also a video called “Reverse Trick-or-Treating.”  Two guys brought a DOOR with them, and set it up on people’s porches before they knocked.  Then people would answer their door, knock on THEIR door, and the guys would give THEM candy.

And it’s not clear where this happened, but someone put a bunch of candy on their porch with a sign asking people to use the honor system.  And a hidden camera caught someone’s MOM stealing most of it.

Dailey Bailey: The Top Five Reasons People Turn Down Marriage Proposals

You’d like to think that when you propose to someone, they’ll say yes. Especially if you do it on the Jumbotron in front of a stadium full of people . . . that’s every woman’s dream. But it doesn’t always go down that way . . .

A new survey of 2,144 people who’ve turned down marriage proposals asked them why they said no. These are the top five reasons . . .

1. An unromantic setting for the proposal.

2. A bad ring.

3. Bad wording on the proposal.

4. No faith in the relationship.

5. Being scared of the commitment.

It’s worth noticing there that the top three rejection reasons are all related to the proposal itself, and not the status of the actual relationship. So apparently even a good relationship can have a busted proposal.

The survey also found that 39% of people rejected a public proposal . . . and the average number of people who witnessed them reject the proposal was 35.

Dailey Bailey: 17 Things You May Not Have Known About Horror Movies

Since Halloween is this weekend, E! News put together a list of 31 interesting facts about horror movies. Here are 17 of our favorites:

1. “The Exorcist” is the first horror movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. It lost out to “The Sting”.

2. In “The Exorcist”, Linda Blair’s character was supposed to vomit on Father Karras’ chest. But the tube they used misfired, and it hit him in the face. So the look of disgust as he wipes off the vomit is genuine.

3. The vomit used in “The Exorcist” consists mostly of pea soup.

4. The blood used in “Night of the Living Dead” is chocolate syrup. Of course, the movie was in black-and-white. (This was actually common in black-and-white films. It was used for the shower scene in “Psycho” as well.)

5. The color red is present in almost every shot of “The Shining”.

6. Due to his experience as a volunteer firefighter, Jack Nicholson took down the prop door with the ax in “The Shining” too quickly. They had to switch it with a real door for that scene.

7. While filming “Scream”, the actors were never allowed to see the man who voices Ghostface. Director Wes Craven thought it would make their performances more realistic, and so the guy, Roger L. Jackson, would hide on set and actually make the phone calls during scenes.

8. Sissy Spacek slept in her bloody clothes for three days while filming the “Carrie” prom scene in order to maintain continuity.

9. None of the actors and actresses who were playing high school students in “Carrie” were actually teenagers.

10. The original title for “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” was ‘Head Cheese’.

11. The original title for “Halloween” was ‘The Babysitter Murders’.

12. Church the cat in “Pet Sematary” is played by seven different cats.

13. The story for “Final Destination” was actually an abandoned idea for an “X-Files” episode.

14. “Saw” was filmed in only 18 days. There are no exterior shots because they couldn’t afford them.

15. It only took eight days to film “The Blair Witch Project”.

16. To make the tension between the actors authentic in “The Blair Witch Project”, the directors gave them less and less food each day.

17. You may have heard this one before, but it’s still pretty amazing: “Psycho” was the first American movie to show a toilet being flushed. That was in 1960.

Dailey Bailey: What’s the Scariest Thing That’s Actually Happened to You?

Halloween is, basically, about artificially getting scared. Like, you might get spooked by a haunted house or the skeleton decorations in someone’s yard or maybe even a well-done costume. But it’s all manufactured fear.

We want to talk about real fear. What’s the scariest thing that’s actually happened to you? There’s a discussion going on right now on Reddit.com about it. Here are three of our favorites to get you going . . .

1. “When I was six, my cat curled up with me for the first time ever in my bed and let me pet him until I fell asleep. The next morning I told my parents, and they said they’d found his body behind the house . . . so he couldn’t have been in my bed.”

2. “There was a small door to the attic in my bedroom that kept opening on its own . . . and one time I saw a face staring at me from it. I switched rooms with my brother. When we moved, the new owners also had the problem with the door opening itself.”

3. “I dreamt I was being choked and woke up to find my own hands around my throat.”

Dailey Bailey: Kids Reveal The 10 Secrets Of Getting The Best Haul While Trick-Or-Treating

If there’s one thing I’d trust American children with, it’s figuring out how to get their hands on as much candy as possible.

Which is why this “Reader’s Digest” list of 10 secrets of getting the best trick-or-treating haul should be treated as gospel . . . because it’s based on interviews and surveys with actual American kids.

#1.) The “cuter” the costume, the more candy you’ll get.

#2.) Pillowcases hold twice as much candy as plastic grocery bags, and three times as much as the classic orange pumpkin. And if you decorate your pillowcase, people won’t think you’re just trying to be greedy.

#3.) If there are little kids at a door ahead of you, move on. They’ll take forever to choose their candy and just slow you down.

#4.) Strike early. The good candy always goes first. There’s no reason to be the last people out trick-or-treating.

#5.) BUT . . . if you do see some houses that still have their lights on late, swing by. The person may want to unload everything and give you a handful instead of a single piece.

#6.) Lots of decorations in the yard are a sign of high-budget candy. The family there clearly cares about Halloween.

#7.) See if you can get your dad or a friend’s dad to chaperone you. Moms focus too much on manners. Dads respect the quest to get as much candy as possible. They’re also willing to stay out later than moms.

#8.) Plan your route, figure out your shortcuts, and . . . even though adults may tell you not to . . . run, don’t walk.

#9.) The best candy is usually at the bottom of the bowl. When the person filled up their bowl, their instinct was to open the best candy first, so it’s at the bottom.

#10.) Before you go out, tell your parents you just want to grab a few things from your OWN house’s candy supply. As long as you don’t overdo it, you can get a few pieces of the best stuff before the bowl gets picked over.

Dailey Bailey: [Watch] Some People Shouldn’t Whip Or Nae Nae

I am one those people who shouldn’t whip or nae nae… And so is this guy!

An ad for a car dealership in Wichita, Kansas is going viral, because the owner decided to do the “Whip / Nae Nae” dance in it. He looks like he’s in his 50’s, and tells people to come in to, quote, “pick out your whip, so you can Nae Nae,” which is a decent line.

But then he dances for about 25 seconds. And it’s basically on par with lame dad-dancing.
