Ben Folds fuses pop with classical music

Folds has drawn a huge following since the late-’80s, with a variety of bands and solo projects. His new album, “So There,” is a hybrid album, half of which is a piano concerto performed with the Nashville Symphony and the other half which is a collection of songs performed with the inventive chamber group, yMusic.
