Join host Emily Newman as she sits down with Jens Crain-Foster, choreographer and wig master at Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville. They discuss how she got her start in the arts, and what it’s like working with wigs for Playhouse productions. Tennessee Tech student Jesse Filoteo of Filoteo Illustrations discusses his design process, and the various tools that he uses when painting. Emily interviews Bryce McDonald, Producing Director and CEO of the Cumberland County Playhouse, to learn more about where he got his start in theater and his journey in the arts. Emily also chats with Stephanie Barnes of Steph Barnes Wearables & Interiors to learn more about the business side of her artistic career, and the various projects she enjoys working on.

The next phase of our fight against COVID-19 is set to begin. A gradual reopening of the Tennessee economy – Monday with restaurants, Wednesday with retail establishments. Governor Bill Lee emphasized Friday the economic benefits of reopening the economy, but he quickly pointed out if Tennesseans don’t continue to learn and focus about COVID-19, and practice the things that we know that will work, we’ll find ourselves right in the middle of more economic hardship. So lets focus on the learning as we bring aboard Dr. Brent Staton and Dr. Ty Webb with the Cumberland Center for Healthcare Innovation.
