A powerful weather system is barreling toward Florida’s Gulf Coast. Tropical Depression Nine is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm Wednesday. There was more heavy fighting Monday along the Turkey-Syria border. After an easy victory against ISIS, Turkish forces and U.S.-backed Syrian rebels headed further south to take on Kurdish fighters, also allies with the U.S. Turkey views the Kurdish group as terrorists. Chicago leaders are calling for change after more gun violence plagued the city this past weekend.
