Syria cease-fire appears to be holding for most part

The Syrian cease-fire agreement appears to be mostly holding after it went into effect midnight local time. The deal was brokered by Russia and Turkey, two countries on opposite sides of the civil war. If the cease-fire lasts, peace talks are scheduled for January. Holly Williams reports from Istanbul. Some in New England pummeled with nearly two feet of snow

Northern New England is digging out from its strongest storm in more than two years. The nor’easter dumped heavy snow on many highways, leading to dozens of accidents around the region.
