Father who claimed girl choked on milk charged with murder

Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson and Richardson Police chief Jimmy Spivey announced Friday that the father of slain Texas girl Sherin Mathews has been charged with capital murder. Wesley Mathews claimed the three-year-old choked on milk in the family’s Texas home last October. Source

Saturday Sessions: Manchester Orchestra performs “Keel Timing”

Manchester Orchestra returns to Saturday Sessions after releasing their latest album, “The Million Masks of God.” The band formed in 2004, and since then, they have played the main stages at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza and had hits on the alternative charts. Fighting continues to rage on in Syria, where the United Nations says nearly 100,000 people have been displaced since early December. The conflict is putting many children in danger.
