This means Americans will be able to purchase a daily oral contraceptive without a prescription in stores or online starting in early 2024. The Food and Drug Administration has just approved the first over-the-counter birth control pill for women. Opill, a once-a-day pill, will be available for millions of Americans without a prescription from a doctor. Opill’s maker, Perrigo, says it will begin shipping the pill out next year. Source
