NFL player Carl Nassib announced his retirement from football after a seven-year career in the league. In 2021, Nassib announced publicly that he is gay, becoming the first openly gay active player in the NFL’s 103-year history. The former leader of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, was sentenced to 22 years in prison on Tuesday, the longest prison sentence yet related to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Tarrio wasn’t present at the Capitol on Jan. 6, but prosecutors described him as the “primary organizer” of the conspiracy for which he and three of his co-defendants were convicted of seditious conspiracy. Since escaping from a Chester County prison on Thursday, 34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante has been spotted numerous times, most recently Monday night when he was seen twice on surveillance camera at a local botanical garden.
