Biden says U.S. had nothing to do with Wagner uprising in Russia

President Biden says he made clear to Moscow that the U.S. and its allies didn’t have anything to do with the uprising in Russia over the weekend. The Wagner Group’s mercenary troops marched toward Russia’s capital before the Kremlin cut a deal with the group’s leader on Saturday. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper on abortion restrictions set to take effect

In the last few days, North Carolina Republicans rolled out adjustments to a new law set to take effect Saturday that bans most abortions in the state after 12 weeks, including clarification that medication abortions also are allowed up until 12 weeks. Democratic legislators say the changes are meant to thwart a federal lawsuit filed last week. North Carolina Democratic Gov. 1 killed as tornadoes move across Indiana

One person was killed and several homes were damaged or destroyed as at least three tornadoes touched down in Indiana on Sunday. Several other states saw severe weather over the weekend, including Arkansas, where a mother and son were killed by a tree knocked down by high winds. CBS affiliate WTTV’s Max Lewis reports. Source
