Interest rate “lock-ins” leading to fewer available homes

Data from FactSet shows existing homes and new homes are now selling for the same median price. Ten years ago, new home prices were on average $60,000 more expensive than existing homes. A big reason for that could be a lack of housing stock due to potential sellers hanging onto their homes thanks to lower interest rates on their mortgages. New dinosaur identified after fossils unearthed in Thailand

Paleontologists have identified a new species of dinosaur, the Minimocursor phunoiensis, after uncovering fossils at a dig site in northern Thailand. It’s the 13th dinosaur to be discovered in the country. Clint Boyd, senior paleontologist for the North Dakota geological survey, joined CBS News to talk about the find. Source

Triple-digit water temperatures around Florida threatening coral reefs

Water temperatures around the southern Florida coast are reaching hot tub levels, with a buoy at Manatee Bay hitting 101 degrees earlier this week. That heat is bad news for coral reefs around the area.
