As Israel’s assault on Gaza continues, Al-Shifa hospital, the largest in the Palestinian territory, is caught in the crossfire and supplies are running short. The IDF claims Hamas is using tunnels below the hospital to conduct military operations, while the Gaza Health Ministry insists hospitals aren’t being used for military purposes and Israel’s attacks are unjustified. The U.S. Army overturned the convictions of 110 Black soldiers stemming from the 1917 Houston riot, which broke out following months of abuse from the Houston Police Department. Following the riot and court martials, 19 of the soldiers were executed and dozens were sentenced to life in prison. Source
