Ten Americans being held by Venezuela were released on Wednesday in exchange for an ally of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Among the Americans released was Leonard Francis, an escaped fugitive who goes by the nickname “Fat Leonard,” who fled the U.S. after pleading guilty in a massive bribery scheme involving U.S. Navy officers.
