Vance of Ohio tells “Face that Nation” that he doesn’t think the U.S. should provide aid to Palestinian citizens because “if you deliver a large amount of humanitarian assistance, CBS News producer Marwan Al Ghoul lives in Gaza, and he tells “Face the Nation” that he saw “death, bodies, everywhere around the hospital, Robert Mardini, the director-general of the International Committee of Red Cross, tells “Face the Nation” that three additional truckloads of medicine, medical equipment, water and sanitation equipment have made it into Gaza on Sunday. Bayard Rustin: The man who transformed the civil rights movement

It was strategist Bayard Rustin – a pacifist and gay Black man – who organized the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I have a dream” speech. But Rustin’s role in transforming the civil rights movement has been largely forgotten. “Rustin,” a new film directed by George C. Wolfe and produced by former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s production company, is an attempt to correct the historical record about a marginalized figure who helped change society. Correspondent Martha Teichner talks with Wolfe and Barack Obama about Rustin’s legacy, and what his story means for today’s generation. Source

U.S. and Israel have had “conversations like friends do on the hard questions,” Jake Sullivan says

National security adviser Jake Sullivan tells “Face the Nation” that the U.S. has pressed Israel to distinguish between Hamas and Palestinian civilians amid growing pressure to protect civilians in Gaza as Israel expands its raids. “We have conversations like friends do on the hard questions that I talked about before — on issues associated with humanitarian aid, on distinguishing between terrorists and innocent civilians, on how Israel’s thinking through its military operation,” Sullivan said.
