Fighting continues to impact Gaza’s largest hospital

As Israel’s assault on Gaza continues, Al-Shifa hospital, the largest in the Palestinian territory, is caught in the crossfire and supplies are running short. The IDF claims Hamas is using tunnels below the hospital to conduct military operations, while the Gaza Health Ministry insists hospitals aren’t being used for military purposes and Israel’s attacks are unjustified. American mom reunites with son after escaping Gaza

Naela Elshorafa was in Gaza visiting her sick mother on Oct. 7, when Hamas militants launched an attack on Israel that precipitated the current war. After being stuck in Gaza for a month, she was able to escape and return home to her family in California. Adriana Diaz has the story. Source

Millions impacted by indefinite closure of Los Angeles freeway

Interstate 10 in downtown Los Angeles remains closed following a fire that weakened the roadway and made it unsafe to drive on, putting a heavy strain on other nearby highways and surface streets. There is still no timetable for when the highway, which averages about 300,000 vehicles per day, will reopen. Carter Evans reports. Source

U.S. launches airstrikes at Iranian targets in Syria

The U.S. military has conducted a series of airstrikes aimed at a training area and safehouse used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in eastern Syria, the Defense Department said.
