The U.S. is the world’s largest producer of nuclear power and the dangerous spent fuel is currently in about 80 sites around the country. They contain an estimated 88,000 tons. Red Sox legend David Ortiz shot in Dominican Republic

Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was hospitalized following surgery for a gunshot wound after being ambushed by a man in a bar in his native Dominican Republic. Ortiz’s father said his son is out of danger and that the bullet had not hit any major organ. Source
