Director Lulu Wang on exploring collectivism vs. individualism in “The Farewell”

The new movie “The Farewell” is getting praise for its touching portrait of a family. It tells the story of family members coping with the news their grandmother has terminal cancer. Comedian and rapper Awkwafina plays Billi, her granddaughter, who struggles with keeping the secret.
