Heiress, fashion icon and artist Gloria Vanderbilt dies at 95

Friends and fans are saluting heiress, socialite and fashion pioneer Gloria Vanderbilt. She died Monday of advanced stomach cancer. Vanderbilt was 95, and had been well-known for nearly all of those years. Her son, Anderson Cooper, called her “an extraordinary woman who lived life on her own terms.” Anthony Mason reports. Source

Phoenix police release video of alleged shoplifting that led to standoff

Protests are expected Tuesday at what officials are calling a “community listening session” in Phoenix over fallout from a video of police officers confronting a couple and their two small children. Cell phone video from May 27 shows officers cursing and pointing guns at Dravon Ames and Iesha Harper, threatening to shoot, after responding to a report of shoplifting. Jeff Pegues reports. Source

Trump vows mass crackdown on undocumented immigrants

President Trump is promising a mass crackdown on undocumented immigrants that could include families with children. He made that vow in a pair of tweets Monday, writing that Immigration and Customs Enforcement will begin removing “millions of illegal aliens” next week. The details are not clear. The largest number of undocumented migrants removed by ICE in a single fiscal year was about 409,000 in 2012. Source
