Marie Fredriksson, of Swedish pop duo “Roxette,” dies at 61 after cancer battle
Singer Marie Fredriksson of the Swedish pop duo “Roxette” died Monday after battling cancer for 17 years. Some of Roxette’s biggest hits in the late 80s and 90s include “Listen to Your Heart,” “It Must Have Been Love” and “Joyride.” The duo sold more than 80 million records. Fredriksson’s bandmate, Per Gessle, remembers her as an amazing performer and wonderful friend. She is survived by her husband and two children. Source
