“Red at the Bone” author Jacqueline Woodson on writing against the stereotype of motherhood

Jacqueline Woodson is a New York Times-bestselling author, with more than five million copies of her works sold worldwide. Her memoir, “Brown Girl Dreaming,” won the National Book Award in 2014, and her more than two dozen children’s books are regularly taught in schools across the country. Her newest work of adult fiction is called “Red at the Bone.” It tells the story of how two Brooklyn families cope after an unexpected pregnancy brings them together. Bon Appétit reveals the 2019 Hot 10, a list of the country’s best new restaurants

“CBS This Morning” is revealing Bon Appetit magazine’s “Hot 10,” its list of the ten best new restaurants in America. Number three is Longoven in Richmond, Virginia. Number two is Khao Noodle Shop in Dallas, Texas. And the number one restaurant of the year is Konbi in Los Angeles. Violence against abortion clinics hits record high

The number of attacks and disruptions against abortion clinics across the country has reached a record high. The National Abortion Federation reported over 1,300 violent acts were committed against abortion clinics last year, the highest number of attacks since the group started keeping records in 1977.
