A Texas family has filed a lawsuit against Energy Transfer Partners, a company whose truck driver hit and killed their teenage son while he was distracted by a video on his phone. Paramedics who were at the scene say there was pornography playing on the truck driver’s phone when it was recovered from the crash site. The teen’s parents say they hope the lawsuit is a wakeup call to companies and states not taking distracted driving seriously enough. Another state is suing Juul over youth vaping addiction
E-cigarette giant Juul is being sued by another U.S. state – this time, Massachusetts is blaming Juul for “a public health crisis” over the state’s youth being addicted to nicotine. The state attorney general has claimed that the company’s purpose was not to get adults to stop smoking as originally advertised, but rather to try and get young people into vaping. Over 300 officials join search for missing 6-year-old
The FBI has joined South Carolina police in a desperate search for a missing 6-year-old girl. Faye Marie Swetlik was last seen Monday afternoon, and officials are searching for the drivers of two cars that were nearby her backyard where Faye disappeared.
