Tony and Emmy-winning actress Christine Baranski joins “CBS This Morning” to talk about the newest season of the hit series “The Good Fight,” now streaming on CBS All Access. Baranski took on the role of Chicago lawyer Diane Lockhart over a decade ago in the series “The Good Wife.” In the season four premiere of its spin off, Baranski’s character finds herself in an alternate reality after falling into a coma. Goldman Sachs pledges $550 million to small businesses amid pandemic

Small business owners are scrambling to get loans that will keep their businesses afloat while the U.S. economy weathers the coronavirus pandemic. Congress is considering a plan to give them an additional $250 billion, while Goldman Sachs has stepped up to commit $550 million to relief efforts. Bernie Sanders suspends 2020 campaign but vows to keep fighting

New York sees flattening virus curve, though deaths spike

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo expressed optimism that the state was “bending the curve” of the coronavirus, although it is still battling the worst effects of the virus with 779 deaths in one day, including the 15th NYPD officer to die of the illness. In Chicago, overburdened hospitals dealing with coronavirus patients also have to contend with the city’s gun violence, with seven people shot to death on Tuesday. Fauci says we need to “redouble our efforts” at virus mitigation

Dr. Anthony Fauci joins “CBS This Morning” after he and other medical experts credited Americans as well as the mitigation efforts of state and local governments for what they say are signs that the coronavirus’ spread is slowing. However, he warned that the next few weeks will be critical and that models may continue to display a downward trend if Americans “redouble our efforts” at social distancing and other precautions.
