Jet crashes while doing flyover tribute to frontline workers in Canada

At least one person was killed and another seriously injured when a Canadian Snowbirds jet crashed into a house, causing a fire, on Sunday. The Snowbirds aerobatics team was doing a flyover of the region as part of Operation Inspiration, a salute to frontline workers of the coronavirus pandemic. CBSN Los Angeles reports. Source

Albany, N.Y. mayor cuts salary to zero to help offset major budget gap

Local leaders across the U.S. are calling on the federal government to provide direct emergency aid to help cities facing major revenue shortfalls due to the pandemic. New York’s capital city is projected to face a budget gap of at least $17 million. To help offset the loss, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced she will reduce her salary to $0 for the rest of the year. Barr doesn’t expect investigations of Obama, Biden stemming from Russia review

Attorney General William Barr said Monday an ongoing internal Justice Department review into the origins of the FBI’s probe into President Trump and his 2016 presidential campaign is not expected to lead to a criminal investigation into former President Barack Obama or Vice President Joe Biden. “This cannot be and it will not be a tit-for-tat exercise.
