6-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl among the Gilroy shooting victims

Investigators are working to determine a motive behind the deadly shooting at a California food festival that left three people dead. A hospital spokesperson says 11 victims taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center received gunshot wounds. As of Monday night, five patients are still being treated, and doctors say they’re all improving. Janet Shamlian reports. Source

Biden says he was “overly polite” to Harris in last debate

Ferguson, Mo., five years after Michael Brown shooting

Ferguson, Missouri is marking the fifth anniversary of the death of Michael Brown Jr. this morning. The unarmed black teenager was shot by a white police officer who said Brown attacked him. A grand jury decided not to indict the officer. Brown’s death led to months of protests, and drew attention to police practices nationwide. Jeff Pegues has the story. Source
