“Sunday Morning” Matinee: Hillsong Young & Free

The last album from the Sydney-based Christian music group Hillsong Young & Free, titled “III,” peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Christian/Gospel Albums Chart two years ago. The Grammy-nominated group is back with a new album, “All Of My Best Friends.” In a performance for “Sunday Morning” viewers, they present an acoustic version of their single “Best Friends.” Source

“Punching the Air” authors discuss their novel, using poetry to cope with hate and racism

Prison reform advocate and member of the Exonerated Five Yusef Salaam and award-winning author Ibi Zoboi join “CBS This Morning” to discuss their young adult novel, “Punching the Air.” The book examines fighting for one’s truth and humanity, in a system designed to strip Black men of both. The authors also discussed how Salaam’s poems inspired the novel, and using poetry to cope with difficult topics such as racism, hate and anger. Source

Some colleges and universities struggle to contain COVID-19 outbreaks

More schools are opening this week with a steady focus on the coronavirus threat. As of Monday morning, the total number of reported COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is approaching 6 million. In New York, a spike in cases has forced another university to go online only. As Dr. Jon LaPook reports, students are not happy about it. Source

Thousands of protesters call for an end to Lukashenko presidency

Tens of thousands of demonstrators rallied Sunday in the Belarusian capital of Minsk to begin the fourth week of daily protests demanding that the country’s authoritarian president resign. CBS foreign correspondent Chris Livesay was in the protests where security forces tried to stifle the pro-democracy demonstrators. Source
