Creem magazine documentary highlights “chaos” of 1970s rock music culture

A new documentary titled “Creem” is highlighting an upstart 1970s rock magazine with a big chip on its shoulder. The magazine, which shares the same title, was a gritty rival to the more-polished Rolling Stone. Chef Jerome Grant celebrates diversity through cuisine at Jackie

Chef Jerome Grant’s extraordinary life and cooking is being highlighted on the “CBS This Morning: Saturday” series The Dish. Four years ago, Grant became the head chef at the newly-opened African American Museum in Washington, D.C. Before that, he ran the restaurant at the American Indian Museum. Now, the chef has branched out again, at the most challenging time possible. Jeff Glor paid Grant a visit at Jackie, located in the navy yard of the nation’s capital. Source

The book is called “The Virginia Dynasty” and was written by former second lady Lynne Cheney. Saturday Sessions: Brittany Howard performs “Goat Head”

Brittany Howard rose to fame as the lead singer of Alabama Shakes, releasing a platinum-selling debut album and winning four Grammys along the way. Then, Howard decided to challenge herself by breaking out on her own with a solo album. The album, “Jamie,” won wide critical praise. She now joins “CBS This Morning: Saturday” from Nashville to perform “Goat Head.” Source
