Saturday Sessions: Local Natives perform “Future Lover”

Southern California band Local Natives met at an Orange County high school before attending UCLA and then moving into a house in Silver Lake, where they created their first album — “Gorilla Manor.” Three albums later, they’ve toured the world, played festivals from Coachella to Glastonbury and hit the top 10 on the alternative charts. This fall they released their latest EP, “Sour Lemon.” The band now joins “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to perform “Future Lover.” Source

Biden pledges to speed up COVID-19 vaccine rollout

Across the United States, more than 283,000 new coronavirus infections were reported Friday. More than 3,500 people died, down from Thursday’s record-shattering 4,000 single-day deaths. It seems help is on the way, however, as the number of people who received their first vaccination doubled this week, with 6 million doses distributed as of Friday. President-elect Joe Biden pledged to speed up the rollout process once he takes office. At least 13 Capitol rioters face federal charges

The FBI is using cellphone data and videos taken from inside the Capitol to find and charge those responsible for the deadly attack. The bureau is also trying to determine what the larger goals of the assault might have been. At least 13 people of the nearly four dozen arrested are facing federal charges, and disturbing new images of the siege are coming to light. Jeff Pegues shares the story. Source
