“Free-range” parents clash with Maryland CPS again

The Meitiv parents practice what they call “free-range” parenting, which they claim builds independence. Child protective services held their 10- and 6-year-old children for hours after they were spotted playing alone in a park Sunday. Tulsa police release video of accidental shooting: “I shot him. I’m sorry.”

In Oklahoma, a graphic video from a body camera shows the deadly shooting of Eric Harris, an unarmed black man and convicted felon. Police brought in by the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. They say an unpaid volunteer reserve deputy, Robert Bates, meant to use a taser, but fired his gun instead. It’s happening more and more as online shoppers who rely on Amazon.com’s product review are being fooled by fake praise. How Californians are dealing with water restrictions
