All-black Women’s Army Corps unit still fighting for recognition

Nearly 900 members strong, the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion was the first and only all-black Women’s Army Corps unit deployed to Europe during WWII. They made sure soldiers received their mail, but weren’t recognized for their service. Jim Axelrod shares one member’s story. Source
