Gavin Newsom won’t appeal parole of Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten

The office of California Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed Friday that the governor will not appeal a previous ruling by a state appellate court that Leslie Van Houten, a Charles Manson follower who participated in the 1969 LaBianca murders, should be paroled. Van Houten is serving a life sentence. Source
