NAACP Cookeville President Tom Savage discusses race and his work with the NAACP
Founding in 1909, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Working to provide equal opportunities for all races, the NAACP has served as an advocate for the African American community. The organization continues its active roll today as the challenges of racism continue to evolve. Here in the Upper Cumberland, that work is led by President Tom Savage.
