70% of Us Regularly Text the Wrong Person

Do you find yourself accidentally sending texts to the wrong people all the time? With hilarious results? And by “hilarious” I mean humiliating and potentially devastating.

Here are five results from a new survey that show you’re not alone . . .

1. 70% of people regularly send messages to the wrong person, and 40% have received a text that was meant for someone else.

2. 33% have gotten into a major fight with someone after they sent them a text that was intended for someone else . . . and 10% are still not speaking with that person.

3. 33% have sent a text that was mangled by autocorrect.

4. About one in ten have sent a sexual text to the wrong person. The most common people we’ve accidentally sent them to are coworkers . . . followed by our mother, boss, sister, and father.

5. And finally, 10% of those people say they lost their job for accidentally sending something filthy to their boss.
